HEY FAM THIS WAS BASICALLY THE BEST WEEK OF MY ENTIRE LIFE....and we are just gonna keep it going and have the best transfer of my mission!!!!!! 

But seriously. So many miracles and so many good times with Hermana Rindlisbacher. Plus the fact that no one can say her name makes it lots of fun. We just sing and laugh and talk (in Spanish of course) all day long and are super happy and enjoying EVERY moment that we got to be representantes de Jesucristo.

CHISTOSOS:

·       Throwback to last week’s Relief Society where all we talked about was what we should do with the garbage in the church. No one wants to take it to the trash can. bah

·       Talking with Lucas Gavilan (rm. 22 years) and his niece (9 years. not member) Lucas: "YOU HAVE TO GET BAPTIZED." Thanks for being super direct Lucas. We are now preparing her baptism

·       Mosquito bites = Satan tickling you....and H Rindlisbacher and I have plenty to prove it 

·       Our district leader: "How’s your unity?" Me: "on a scale of 1-10, we are a 9.5" Him "y’all are still on your honey moon. Give it a few weeks lol" jajajaja no! We are bffs already!

·       Happy Halloween! lol when Elder Campbell asks us to pls clean the baptismal font bc there are so many spider webs and it’s not even Halloween yet jajaja 

MILAGROS:

·       FIND THE ONE.  Shout out to my homie Mary Mary for helping me have a new perspective in finding Gods children. This week we tried to find one person that God had prepared. AND WE FOUND THEM. for example: Leo - we found him in the middle of nowhere and he called us elderes so we talked to him and turns out his bff is in the mission and he has gone to the church a couple times and wants to know more. Miracle.  Or Romina - literally was listening to us like it was the latest movie in the theaters or something! And she is from Limache <3333

·       Get this. Lucas and his niece (from above) is from the familia Gavilan aka Mateo Gavilan aka first baptism in Limache. And now we are teaching Tiara! And she came to church on Sunday and is really excited for her baptism!!!! Grandma Gavilan gave me a great big hug and said that I am really special since I am helping lots of her family

·       EMILIO SE BAUTIZO! It was sooooooooo awesome! We had lots of support from the rama and Emilio felt so clean. In his confirmation, they blessed with opportunities to use the priesthood and an eternal family in the temple. So happy.

Wow. The church is true my friends. Prophets are real and they speak for God. Here are some inspiring words that really help me LOVE every day of my life....

“He paid for something that He had not done.  He paid for sins that He had     not committed.  Why? Pure love. Having paid the full price, He was in the         position to offer us the blessings of what He paid for if we would repent.        Why did He offer this?  Again, and always, pure love.”

Hola! Sorry! Happy transfers day so we don’t have a lot of time but just a few updates:

- Hermana Kreutzkamp is heading home. So grateful for her and her dilgiencia. 

- Hermana Rindlisbacher is heading to Oran! Super excited to work a lot and see lots of miracles! 

- Pls pray for Emilio. 

- We showed up at our friend’s house and Gael was on the roof. I said...Gael what are you doing up there? And he said "my homework" jajaja meta. I will do my homework on the roof too. Great idea. 

Well well well gtg save the world but I am happy and healthy!!!!!!

WHITE Christmas in July

MATIAS AND ABI GOT MARRIED and it was probably the best thing in my whole entire mission. I have never felt so happy and so much love. It was so beautiful and the cherry on top of semana 5 for Hermana Kreutzkamp. jajaja see pics attached of the beautiful bride and groom

Wow. I am kinda a hot mess right now but this was our week:

CHISTOSOS:

·       My back starting hurting cuz my bag was so heavy so I try to adjust it when I realized that I had an entire pantry in my bag - peanuts, bread and an apple hahaha 

·       We were walking in the street and we saw a little boy put a dog in a trash can lol. That’s how I feel about dogs too dude.

MILAGROS:

·       Bautismo de Gabriel and Jazmin! which was almost a disaster bc Gabriel was sleeping when we went to his house for his interview but luckily ELDER MOELLER saved the day and used his super good soccer skills to get him all pumped. The smile on his face in the pics attached just explain how happy I was to see him be baptized 

·       When we saw the Familia Espindola in the plaza last night having their noche de hogar complete with family history and mate of course. Makes my heart so happy to see people coming unto Christ. 

hahahaha if you are feeling a little lazy, pls read this kind but super direct invitation from our Heavenly Father 

Alma 60:21 “Or do ye suppose that the Lord will still deliver us, while we sit upon our thrones and do not make use of the means which the Lord has provided us?”

This really helped me learn that I have to give my ALL to the Lord. Every last bit of energy, every smile, every testimony. He wants everything. And He doesn’t need lazy people working in His vineyard.

DOMINGO!!!

Holllllllaaaaaaaaaaa. All good down here in Argentina. Just loving the winter I guess cuz that means there are not as many bugs woohoo

CHISTOSOS:

·       I heard the latest and greatest excuse for not coming to church which was defs TMI so you can skip this part if you want but we have a friend that legit looks like Santa Claus. Like I call him papa noel and everything. And he didn’t come to church because he pooped his pants. And he told us that. jajaja gracias tmi

·       Elder del Papa is my new best friend. He has like 3 months in the mission and can’t speak Spanish but they are having crazyyyyyy adventures in Salvador Massa. But I was eating a carrot the other day (cuz I’m really healthy now lol jk) and he looked at me and said "I made a clarinet out of a carrot in high school" and THAT my friends is who is representing Jesu Christo rn. So proud. 

·       A BIRD FLEW INTO OUR HOUSE WHILE WE WERE STUDYING. I was so scared. But we lived. Don’t worry

·       jajaja we had a lesson with our friend Rene and he said the closing prayer and before I could even say amen, he asks if we want food. He knows us too well. fyi...we accepted the food and then soon regretted it. I don’t even wanna know how he cooked it or why there were so many black things on my plate. But all good. God protects His servants. 

MILAGROS:

·       We had divisiones with the hermanas de villa Saavedra and I got to spend the day with Hermana Lopez! She is the best! Super fun super diligent and super patient! She helped me with my Spanish and helped me learn more about the love of Jesus Christ and the great opportunity that we have to be missionaries. 

·       Interviews with Presidente Orquera went really well! I know he is a man called of God to direct this work right now in Salta. So grateful for him and for his love for God and for us. 

·       DOMINGO! Oh my goodness. We had so many miracles on Sunday bc Gabriel, Emilio, Nazarena, Rene and Emmanuel and Moises and Daniela all came to church. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS HOMIES!!!! We have seen so much progress in the work here in Oran. I feel oh so blessed

·       We found an hermana that hasn’t come to church for about a year and turns out that her daughter really wants to be baptized. They have so many desires to come closer to God and receive lots of blessings!!!!

BAHutismo

GABRIELA SE BAUTIZO!!!!! yayyyyyy bautismo!!! And it was soooo good! She was so happy, Presidente was so happy, I was so happy and God was happiest of all. I’m sure of it. 

Newsity news news:

·       Here is a nice list of people I love from Oran - 

·       Matias - he loves to dance. But maybe too much lol

·       Hermana Martinich - gives the best mom hugs and has beautiful curls and the strongest testimony of the gospel. 

·       Dante - return missionary for 4 years and is still not married so he asked if we had investigadores our recent converts that were interested. Needless to say he will be visiting some of our favorite people this week

·       Chico de la primaria - tbh I don’t even know his name but he always greets me with a high five and gets real excited. I love you too dude. 

·       Agustina - one of our young investigadores that gave me a really cool pen

·       Gladys - our neighbor that always yells HI HERMANAS!!!! 

·       Brenda- that always touches my hair. Without fail. 

·       Alberto - that is ALWAYS with his little brother of 5 years. (He has 25 years) they are best friends. So cute

·       Gail - that ran across the whole park to say hi to us

·       Camila - what’s not to love about her?

·       Other lady that I forgot her name - made us the biscuechelo most yummy in my whole life 

LET ME JUST SAY THAT I LOVE THIS PLACE OKAY

Also MISSION HACK - if you fall asleep in your dress...BOOM. You are already dressed and ready for the next day. hahaha

One last bit of news: WE MADE GINGERBREAD COOKIES and they are probably the second best thing that has ever happened to me (the first being the gospel of Jesus Christ. claro) Now Hermana Kreutzkamp and I have a tradition to make them every day after lunch. We are happy folks. 

Anywayyyyyyyyyyssss sometimes I get carried away. Sorry bout it 

CHISTOSOS:

·       Fat man talking to us. Hermana Kamp "he’s like jello"; me - tries not to burst out laughing in public

·       We had an activity playing soccer with the primary and a little kid says "I’m more confused than that dog" hahahaha ok. That’s one way to explain your confusion

·       Camila was talking about how her dad washes his car every day and she says “He washed his car more than his propio body hahahahahah

MILAGROS: 

·       Gabriela se bautizo! It was super crazy because she was in Salta the whole week but she showed up just in time for her baptism. I love her so much. And I know she will continue forward in the church bc she has so much support from her family and the branch.

·       We found so many incredible people this week that GOD has prepared for HIS message. It is amazing to see the hand of God in His marvelous work and a wonder

HAPPY DIA DE INDEPENDCIA!! So proud of Argentina for being independent and being the best country in the world (other than the fact that we are still mourning the loss in the world cup).

So here in Argentina when someone walks in when we are all eating or when someone finishes their plate of food, everyone yells PROVECHO. And we all have to say gracias. And I still don’t understand. But ok. It’s funny. Anywwwways. There are two reasons why I named this email provecho

1. Cuz I was really hungry yesterday but we had to leave to visit some children of God so I washed my lettuce real quick and headed out the door. We were walking in the street and ran into some members and they said "Hermana Mannewitz. Why are you eating lettuce?"  Then when they were walking away, they yelled PROVECHO. jajaja 

2. Provecho means - take advantage of (and that’s why I don’t understand why they say it in lunch but bueno, I’ll hop off my soap box now).  Anyway, I have learned that we have to take advantage of EVERY MINUTE AND EVERY SECOND that we have in the obra misional cuz it goes by really fast. So if you are not pleased with what you are doing in your life, make the changes necessary because happiness is essential.

·       When an old lady in relief society pulls out her magnifying glass to read a scripture. Made me smile.

·       A DOG ATE MY AGENDA. That’s it. I’ve had it with the dogs here in Argentina.

MILAGROS

·       Damian is literally the best. He memorized the 5th article of faith and is currently memorizing the sacrament prayers. Most incredible 8 year old boy I know.

·       One day, various people gave us the following food: palta, eggplant, mini pumpkins and sugar. Thank you. 

·       Let me tell you a little bit about Serena. She’s the best. She has 18 years and is the person most excited for her mission that I have met in my entire life. Literally every day she talks about how excited she is for her mission. She accompanies us all the time and bears the sweetest testimony. She gets to start her mission papers in November and is already counting the days. She is a great example to me and helps me remember the GREAT opportunity I have to be a missionary for the true church. Sooooo blessed. 

“A fullness of joy" is found in the work of the Lord

Alma 29:10 “And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember what the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me.”
